Hiking websites and apps

The hiking guides of Suisse de poche are a first, playful and short look at the stages: their numbers, their profile and a word from Clotilde. To plan your walk and find your way on the ground, here are the websites and apps we use, mostly free and Swiss. Every stage also leads to its page on SwitzerlandMobility.

Hiking websites

• Swiss Alpine Club: the tour portal, training and the huts.
• Swiss Hiking Trail Federation (in German, French and Italian): over 1000 hike suggestions, most of them for members only.
• SwitzerlandMobility: routes on foot, by bike and in winter, on the website and in its app.
• 26 Summits: summits to discover, every year.

Maps

• The swisstopo app: the national maps, GPX track import and much more.
• The Swiss Alpine Club’s app: the tour portal’s map and the huts.
• The Confederation’s maps: Switzerland’s official maps.

Weather

• The MeteoSwiss app: if you install only one, make it this one.
• The Bergfex apps: the snow cover of several resorts at a glance.

Tourism

• Switzerland Tourism: a wealth of information.
