Making progress

Your pilot’s licence gathers your progress: your level, your flight hours, your feats and your patches.

Experience

Everything you own is worth experience (XP). It is never stored: it is recalculated at every moment from what you have, so none is ever lost.

The levels

Each level has its own title. The pilot’s licence tells you how much XP you need to reach the next one; the titles after it remain to be discovered. Each new level is announced by a red banner across the screen.

The patches

Each patch rewards a whole part of the country.

The feats

Feats reward a way of flying. The pilot’s licence sorts them by tier, with their name and a hint; the last tier keeps its surprises.

First flight

Nose to the wind
Every destination hides its sites. Open one in your flight log.
Head in the Clouds
The Matterhorn isn't the only peak with a name.
Short Loop
Twelve cantons is already a family reunion.

Bronze

Valley Floor
Come down from your peaks: valleys have names too. Drop into 5 of them.
Flying Customs
Anything to declare? Say so at the borders of 2 neighbouring countries.
Bridge Over the Saane
Two languages, one rösti: land on both sides of the Sarine.
Living hedge
The hills, where the plain starts to climb.
Under the firs
Beech and fir, the forest of the middle mountains.
Soggy Bottom
A slope is meant to be ridden all the way down.

Silver

High Pass
One pass is an outing. 10 is a collection.
Night Owl
The cities light up at night. Go and see 3 up close, then land.
Golden Hour
There’s a moment when everything turns orange. Land right then, in 3 cities.
Dolce Vita
It’s always nicer on the other side of the Gotthard. Land there.
Tree line
Larch and arolla pine, up to the very last tree.
Alpine meadow
Above the trees: short grass and rocks.

Gold

The 8000 Club
The Matterhorn is just the warm-up. Aim almost twice as high.
Hedgehopper
Under 100 m off the ground, 5 seconds in a row: the cows look up.
Neighbourhood tour
Drop in on every neighbour. Yes, Liechtenstein too.
Federalist at heart
All of them. Yes, both Appenzells too.
Eternal snow
Up there, where the snow hardly ever melts.
Basket of twenty-six
One speciality per canton, and the basket will be full.
All aboard
One ticket per transport, and your travel book is full.
All Out, All Gold
On the Diablerets blue run, there is better than silver.

???

Distinguished archaeologist
Word is a treasure lies in Graubünden, far from any town. Nobody has dug it up yet.
Living legend
A key, four places, a legend. The rest you find on the way.
Upgraded
Some roofs travel. Land on one and let it carry you.
Sunday Cheat
To err is human. Persistence, though, has its reward.
Tightrope Walker
On the Titlis, the cabins have roofs too.
Engine Driver’s Secrets
At the foot of a glacier, a train is waiting. Its driver talks to anyone who takes the time to sit down.
Never Counting the Steps
On the Niesen, you can climb without counting the steps.
From Vines to Slopes
Between Sierre and Montana the climb is long: you may as well sit.
Hairpin Bend
At the Gotthard Pass, the bus has a roof too.
Promenade Deck
On Lake Geneva, the steamer's deck is made for a stroll.
Over the Void
In the Grisons, a viaduct is best crossed on the roof.
Connection Guaranteed
Swiss trains run on time. So do marmots.

The cheat codes

Your pilot’s licence has a fifth section: the cheat codes. There you type a five-character code, letters or digits, into five boxes, with no button to press: at the fifth character the code takes effect, or nothing happens.

One effect at a time: another code replaces it, and the same code turns it off. Your browser keeps the effect from one visit to the next, like your settings.

The codes are written neither in the game nor in this guide. It is up to you to track them down.
