What Clotilde says Vaduz → Montreux
A fine ridge first, then the big descent: 1968 m down to Meiringen. Your knees will have something to say, so listen to them and take your time. On the way, look for the spotted nutcracker, a brown bird speckled with white. It hides thousands of Swiss stone pine seeds and forgets a few: that's how it plants the forest!
Montreux → Vaduz
From Meiringen to the Engstlenalp, it's uphill: 1968 m of climbing and 8 h 15 min of walking. Good news: at the top, a ridge and a mountain lake are waiting. In the stone pine forests, the spotted nutcracker hides its seeds for the winter and finds almost all its caches again, even under snow. Your turn: find your water bottle.
