Les Diablerets – The Glacier
Clotilde stands on the glacier, east of the summit of Les Diablerets, her board in her hand. Land near her, or click on her, to choose your run.
The blue
The gentlest, nearly straight: a fir forest crossed by an ibex, a field of moguls, a hamlet of chalets whose roofs make kickers, then a level crossing. When the train goes by, better jump over it or wait. The schuss leads to the finish.
| Medal | From | And at the finish |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze medal | 1,500 | Any place |
| Silver medal | 5,000 | Or win the race, whatever the score |
| Gold medal | 9,000 | And 1st place; otherwise, silver |
The red
It starts on the glacier, between blocks of ice, then strings together moguls, the forest and three kickers in a row, before a steeper schuss. Its bends push outward, and their raised edges throw you into the air.
| Medal | From | And at the finish |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze medal | 1,500 | Any place |
| Silver medal | 4,800 | Or win the race, whatever the score |
| Gold medal | 8,600 | And 1st place; otherwise, silver |
The black
The steepest: the glacier, then a narrow couloir between two rock walls, tight moguls, the forest, a second couloir and the steepest schuss, lined with rocks. In the couloirs there are only blueberries, and the line to hold.
| Medal | From | And at the finish |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze medal | 1,500 | Any place |
| Silver medal | 3,500 | Or win the race, whatever the score |
| Gold medal | 6,300 | And 1st place; otherwise, silver |
The Diablerets feat
Gold on all three runs earns a feat, which the pilot’s licence announces like this:
- Diablerets treble
- At Les Diablerets, gold comes in three colours.
